Historia:
La banda se formó en 2000 en "una tentativa para derribar las fronteras entre screamo, emo y punk y sus Sub generos" Mientras ellos incorporan muchos elementos de estos géneros en la mayor parte de sus canciones, la comunidad general los considera para ser Screamo más duro con elementos endurecidos; ellos a menudo son colocados en el género polémico de "Hardcore/Screamo". Sin embargo, la auto descripción de Silverstein, los mantiene de soportar tal etiqueta. Algunos fanáticos de Silverstein se refieren al grupo como Screamo o post-hardcore, mas estas etiquetas son sólo prácticamente exactas.
